The Story Behind the From Trauma to Trust™ Framework

For most of my life, I didn’t know I was living in survival.

I knew how to achieve, how to caretake, how to push through. I knew how to read a room, how to leave my body, and how to make sure everyone else was okay—even when I wasn’t. What I didn’t know was how to listen to the quiet language of my own nervous system. How to feel safe in my own skin. How to trust that my body was not the enemy.

It wasn’t until I entered into deep somatic healing work—both as a practitioner and as a human in pain—that I began to understand:

Trauma isn’t just what happened to us. It’s how our bodies had to adapt in order to survive.

And healing?

Healing is about remembering what it feels like to live from wholeness.

🌿 Why I Created This Framework

Over the past 15+ years of working with trauma and transformation, I began to notice a pattern. Whether someone came to a retreat, a private session, or a group process, the journey tended to follow a familiar arc:

  • First, we need safety—not just conceptually, but physiologically.
  • Then comes the unwinding—of tension, of patterns, of stories we’ve carried for too long.
  • After that, a deepening—into meaning, expression, and presence.

It never moved in a straight line. It moved in spirals. In cycles. In slow returns.

So I began to map it.

The Trauma to Trust™ Framework is the result of that mapping.
It’s not a rigid formula—it’s a compassionate guide.
A mirror held up to your inner process.

It’s a way of making the invisible visible, so you can track where you are, where you’ve been, and where you’re being called to go.

🌀 A Spiral, Not a Ladder

This framework isn’t here to tell you what’s next.

It’s here to help you feel what’s now.

You might find yourself in the descent—meeting freeze, fear, or the inner critic.
Or you might be on the return—reclaiming boundaries, voice, and soul.
Often, you’ll be in both.

That’s the nature of a living spiral.

The invitation isn’t to rush through the stages—
It’s to bring tenderness to wherever you are.

✨ From My Heart to Yours

I offer this framework because I’ve lived it.

Because I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, disconnected, and unsure how to find your way back.

And because I also know the joy of coming home to yourself.

From Trauma to Trust™ is not about perfection.
It’s about presence.
It’s about learning to walk with yourself through every layer of the spiral—with honesty, compassion, and the courage to let your aliveness lead.

May it serve you on your path.
